Primula obconica, family Primulaceae, common Name primrose, poisonous parts glandular hairs on leaves and stems contains primin, a benzoquinone and primetin, a flavone, which effect allergic skin irritation (redness, blisters, swelling), mainly on hands and face. The irritation lasts only a few minutes.
You find it on some lists of poisonous plants, but it is not really dangerous.
Is Primrose Poisonous??
Depends on what kind. I remember reading that one kind is, but extracts are used in medicine. I wouldn't personally try extracting chemicals from primroses, though.
