Ive recently (9 weeks ago) cut all meat out of my diet (except for fish, but rarely), and eat lots of fresh fruit, veges, nuts, seeds, chickpeas, and sometimes the odd dessert. My diet is high in fibre, and what I consider to be well balanced.
I drink 2L of water every day, and walk during the day. I also take omega3, evening primrose oil, multivitamin for woman, iron suppliment, vit C every morning.
But for the last week, Ive been getting headaches in the evening, and I havnt had them for years. Am I lacking something in my diet? Ive lots almost 10kg just from changing my diet.
Any thoughts are appreciated...
Headaches after changing my diet?
Eat everything in moderation and a glass or cup of water before and after each meal. I have experienced the same type of headache you describe. Think it is caused by a need for a good BM so I include four prunes with instant Cinnamon oatmeal every morning and also a very small ... half glass of prune juice. To get immediate (45 minutes) relief of the headache I take one regular Tylenol with a glass of water and recline for about 30 minutes. ~
Reply:Lacking? No. Write down everything you eat (preferably on a large calendar). Circle dates of headaches. Soon a pattern will become apparent. This is how it worked for me. I haven't had a migraine for 20 years. (I'm 52 and my youth was plagued with them).
Reply:you know it also depends on your age, body structure etc. Yo uare operating very terse vitamin supplements, although you should rely more on the real food for nutrition, if you understand my point. Stay natural. Also, water in such huge quatities is not necessarily good. Too much is as bad as too little. You need to find out how much your body actually needs, and then add a little for that dieting effect. Don't just gulp a barrel a day because somebody said that that's the way to do it. Anyway. its alway good to stay mindful of these types of things, nobody knows your body better then you yourself.
