Brown cervical mucus after period?

I had my period and then for the last few days i've been having brown sticky cervical mucus. I'm not sure when I will ovulate or if this is a sign of ovulation. My last two cycles after going off birth control were 16 and 26 days...We are trying to conceive so I need all the help I can get! :) I also just started Evening Primrose Oil....and my last four BBT temps were 97.3, 96.8, 97.3, 97.5. (so it looks like a dip) I am on cycle day 7!

Brown bleeding is a sign of old blood, so it could be leftover period blood that didn't make its way out yet, and mixed with your cervical mucous. It could also be blood from your cervix- mine is very sensitive and any exam , or even sex will make it bleed-without anything being wrong, just the tissues are easily broken.
Reply:You could be pregnant.The reason i say this is because after 5 years of trying i got pregnant and had brown spotting 3 days after ovulation which meant implantation bleeding.i took a test an it came out positive and i was only 5 days past ovulation,So take the test.
Reply:I have that brown discharge for about 3/4 days long after my period. It is just old blood that is being forced out. It can also be a sign of ovulation starting as the egg bursts out of the follicle and can cause a bit of bleeding. I have that every month with ovulation. I would say do the baby dance tonight and every second night from now on to eb safe. Just keep on temping and tracking and your body will do the rest! Take it easy as well and enjoy sex!!!
Reply:Some women can ovulate then. Everyone is different. And if you are making changes then it's possible. Have sex now just in case!
