Please someone who's experienced problem skin - recommend a suitable moisturiser.?

I suffer from problem skin, I'm 23. It started 9mths ago, I suspect it's a result of stress. It is mild acne and is mostly on my chin and around my mouth area. It is also pretty bad on my back and on my chest. (Aaaagggghhhhh!) My skin isn't dry and isn't what I would call oily but it must be oily beneath the surface if I'm having excess oil blocking my pores (although my back is oily). I began taking Evening Primrose oil and Agnus Castus a month ago to balance my hormones. I also take Apple Cider Vinegar (since 3 wks ago) in water twice daily and use ACV as a toner for my face, chest and back. I drink 2 lts. of water each day. My diet is good. I have an active lifestyle. I wash my face with a simple cleanser 2-3 times daily, don't scrub or excessively wash. I use Aspirin (Salicylic Acid) to exfoliate three times weekly. What am I doing wrong? I want to treat my spots and scars with a good moisturiser (day and night) but am afraid it will cause a flare up. I heard Vit E is gd.PLS HELP

Please someone who's experienced problem skin - recommend a suitable moisturiser.?
Hi I have had this problem for ages and it seem the more I use the worse it got and i have tried loads of expensive products like clinique and the spots still didnt clear up and infact got worse. Especially the ones on my chin. I have used medical treatments but these just burn the skin etc.

But like you i read about takiing evening primrose to help, which does a bit but then i thought it it works on the inside then it will work on the out side. So i went out and got a bar of soap in evening primrose oil and shower gel and facial moistuirsers. Usually if i use soap on my face i get more spots. But i went to tesco and got a bar of soap for 24p and i was amazed with the results, All the spots dryed up in on day, and the moisturiser works well to help the spots and as the shower gel is the same but in liquid form this helps the mild acne on my back. I bought, soap, shower gel, Moisturiser, night cream, and eye cream all in Evening Primrose for less than one bottle of clinique wash. And my face is clear than ever. So its worth a try.
Reply:wot uve been doing so far is good and ur right abut the vit e
Reply:One tip is to ditch your routine... You're probably stressing your skin out. I have bad skin but since I developed a lUsh addiction I've got it under control. I use their Farmacy soap twice a day, Cupcake face mask (once or twice a week), and garnier Skin Naturals Fresh moisturiser. It's lovely, light and non-pore blocking but it does the trick... Also consider asking the doctor for an anti biotic lotion such as Zinerete
Reply:As you are already doing all the necessary including the preventative way with apple cider vinegar, all I can suggest is for you to visit www.lizearl.com.

Liz Earl herself is professional %26amp; very active in the production of her skin range. And she also has the best botanist to develop her products. You have nothing to lose trying her products.

As for Vitamin E oil. I totally believe in it. I am a user but am not sure about it on acne prone skin.

Hope you find the solution.

Good Luck!
Reply:Simple skincare products are very good. The quick answer to clearing up your skin is the Dianette contraceptive pill. If you can't / won't take it, then I would suggest easing up on your routine, wash twice a day and exfoliate no more than once a week. Although your diet may be healthy, certain foods aggravate the problem. There is a book out which my sister bought called Clearskin by Karen Jesset, which she found very helpful. Good luck.
Reply:You seem to take a lot of stuff and use a lot too. Maybe this is your problem. If you are on the pill this may cause skin problems. It did with one of my daughters. Go and have a word with your doctor, he should help.
Reply:completely have been there for a year 10 year period. I went through everything possible, all beauty products, facials, oils, diet and fitness, homoeopathy etc.

I found that the only solution left was a pill called Dianette. Its a mini contraceptive, but its for women with more testorone in their body than normal. After 3 months i got comments on how good my skin was, and after 5 years i took the plunge to go off it. And i rarely get spots now!

Speak to your doctor about this pill as its the only one out there.

As for moisturisers, make sure your buying ones without any alcohol, or perfumed ones. Olay sun tinted moisturiser works for me and gives a hint of a sun glow.

Good look
Reply:It sounds to me that your over doing it. Your attempting to do alot of treatments, which actually can be a more of a hindrance rather then a help. For your face, gentle face wash, skip the toner all together for the time being, and a nice light moisturiser and try not to wear alot of make-up, even though you want to hide the blemishes. Invest in a GREEN concealer, apply that to the areas of concern 1st then put your make up over it. At night wash and moisturiser as in the morning, but put VASELINE(not cream, the jelly) on the problem areas. Over time you will see you face start to develope dry flaky patches exfoliate those areas only and only when needed. Your face may get worse before it gets better but please perservere. For your back and chest buy a shower gel which is a wash and exfoliate in one and use a light body moisture after wards.

Try to buy products that are natural ingredients, dont go spending silly money on stuff either, what you buy at Boots can be just as good as Christian Dior.

And allow time for this to take hold, dont expect changes within a couple of days, it could take a month, before you look and realise that your skins looking better.

If you want any more info please e-mail me, Ive been where your are, so I know how you feel.
Reply:Try jojoba oil, it dissolves sebum, absorbs well and isn't greasy. But just use a few drops.
Reply:my advice is to keep up what your doing now and try PROACTIV for the acne...it really works, or just pure alcohol. for the moisturiser try Clinque Dramatically Different Moisturizer

hope this helps!
