I am 33 weeks pregnant and bein induced at 37 weeks but is it safe to use evening primrose oil caps now?

i want to ripen my cervix ready for my induction but at 33 weeks pregnant don't want to cause pre term labour

Evening primrose oil will not cause pre term labor if taken correctly. It merely increases the frequency of Braxton-Hicks (practice) contractions which help dilate and efface the uterus.



You should wait and start taking the Evening Primrose at 36 weeks to be safe. Most doctors and midwives only recommend it for the LAST 4 weeks of pregnancy...so from Week 36 on.
