Evening Primrose Capsules...?

I don't know. I've been taking them since wk 37 and so far I haven't seen ANY changes. I'm getting disappointed. With my 4th baby, I took them ONE TIME, when I was literally overdue and went into labor within 24hrs. I knew it wouldn't happen that way at 37wks because it's just suppose to ripen the cervix, but so far I'm not seeing anything. Alot of people use it to help prevent being overdue by ripening the cervix over the weeks, but seriously, it's not helping me....of course I never ripen or dilate until I go into active labor so that could be the difference.
Reply:Honestly? None. I had tonnes of milk after the birth, but I think that was the red raspberry leaf. I think I took EPO to help bring on labour, but I still went 10 days post due and had to be induced.
Reply:well are you taking them to get pregnant...i'm guessing you are trying to get your cervix to soften faster to get yer baby out of you?

I regret ever taking them at all when I was desperate to get to see my baby. I found an article after I gave birth that they can actually cause some woman's cervix's not to soften at all!! That was what happened to me and I had to be induced. I'm going to let the baby come when it's ready next time and hopefully I'll get to deliver without any meds at all!
