Why do men wear pink shirts?

I know I'm going to get slated for asking...... Yes, women wear trousers and dark colours, but I'd like a polite "debate" on what makes a man wear pink, primrose etc. coloured shirts. Do their women buy them or do they actually buy them themselves?

Why do men wear pink shirts?
Pink shirts look cheezy on guys, and you know they have a pair of stiletto's somewhere.
Reply:the guys ive seen that wear pink, they say they just want to look pimpin' to me they mostly look gay. pink seems more like a girl color. it just looks weird on them..

Reply:Those of us that are secure in our sexuality, can wear any color, any style of anything - including a pink sundress with yellow daisies if that's what you want. What you wear does not define you. I wear Hawaiian shirts (some with pink flamingos) and shorts 95% of the time because they are comfortable, not because I'm a surfer dude or trying to make a fashion statement.



Those that are not secure in their sexuality, tend to call others names (i.e.,gay) if they don't approve.

Reply:Oh yes the pink shirt. About time guys got to get some color in clothes. Nothing makes a guy wear pink other than he looks good feels good in it. If you confuse it with a gay thing than you are the confused one. Real men wear pink. If you are uncomfortable in your sexuality well maybe stay away from the pink,and get over the gay thing its a dead horse issue.

Reply:It doesn't matter what color a man's shirt is it doesn't make him gay, that's only what our society says. If you take a step out of soceity there is no difference between a man wearing a blue shirt and a pink shirt.



I think some guys might wear pink shirts to feel different and get attention from women. I think sometimes it even works on some women.
Reply:Pink is the new black and considering to a mans skin tone, pink can look quite attractive on a man. As times change so does fashion and today no longer is pink restricted to the female race but is a trans-gendered

I don't, but I dated a girl at one time whose father pulled pink off quite well. I actually bought him a pink tie for Father's Day one year.

Reply:I think some wear it just to be 'that guy'... you know the 'straight guy who is man enough to wear pink'... some might cause they're gay. And although some guys actually can pull it off and look really good in it... I'm just glad my husband wouldn't ever wear pink!



hmmm... seems like a contradiction... wearing pink to prove you're a real man... some woman must have really worked over some guy to get that idea started! lol
Reply:...because it's the latest trend.similar to how the retro 80's look is back or how some girls/women buy designer handbags.i think people who convert to whatever is the new "it" styles are unoriginal %26amp; so trendy that it's annoying.even if the guy has the chiseled face/body to wear pink,i don't think it's that hot because it actually shows that they have no fashion sense of their own.however,i did see a guy with model good looks wearing an orange polo shirt.it was a rare sight %26amp; caught my attention more than the guys wearing pink.
