Headaches when having period, need advice.?

I used to have headaches during period in the past. But after taking Evening Primrose Oil and headaches become less. Anyway, I just used the in May this year. I also started to take the supplement "Natto" a soy product - health food. Is it that my body is still in the transition time to get used to both the product as I stop taking EPO thereafter as doctor did say that the IUD does consist very little hormone medication. Anyone can help me, givign some opinion/advices.

Headaches when having period, need advice.?
I went completely off birth control pills because the progesterone gave me headaches. I'm assuming your IUD is the type that has to be changed every 5 years and has progesterone in it. It can take up to 3-4 months for your body to adjust to the hormone changes. I opted for the IUD that is hormone free. I have not had any headaches since changing to the IUD, but it did take a while for my body to adjust to the hormonal changes. I went thru progesterone withdrawal that included skin changes/acne, hair loss, weight gain. They don't tell you about those side effects when you go off birth control.
Reply:you should take ibreprofin it always helps my headachs or any other pains when im on my period hope this helps!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i know how u feel
Reply:Yeah, i get headaches too. I just take pain killers and try to rest and relax!
Reply:If u want 2 wait 2 get an Rx, try Excedrin migraine. It has gotten rid of my headaches VERY QUICKLY, including nausea and light sensitivity. You can only take 2 in 24 hours tho and u can't take anything w/it. They work very well; mom recommended them to me and now I keep them w/me just in case. My headaches are not migraines (I don't think) but they are too bad for Tylenol or Advil to touch. good luck-it's worth the money anyway to tr it out.
Reply:I have always had migraines with my period. It sounds like you are trying all natural products. If you decide to use a prescription, FROVA is the best I have every taken. It gets rid of the headache, nausea, and light sensitivity within twenty minutes after you take it. It is a God Send. It is very pricey, but well worth the money!!!
Reply:Excedrin works best for my period headaches- the caffeine in that really helps.
