Pink Evening Primrose?
Oenothera rosea, also known as Pink evening primrose or Rose of Mexico, is a plant belonging to the genus Oenothera and native to northern Mexico and USA.





Oenothera rosea has flowers with less than 2.5 cm (1 in) diameter. The shade varies from pink to red.

Evening primroses are members of Family Onagraceae; the genus is Oenothera, and the species of this one appears to be Oenothera deltoides, unless there's another one.





Well done, Maverick! Much better than the previous Primulaceae reference, and an improvement over mine, as well.





WAIT--I just found one called Oenothera speciosa, so there are apparently a number of pink evening primroses. I used to collect Oenothera speciosa out on the playas.
