Has anyone heard of the painter "Sidney Shelton"?

I have acquired a picture called Primroses, and would like to find out more about the artist. I looked on wikipedia under British artists, Cornish artists and artists from the St. Ives School but there was no listing of the name. I would guess that Sidney Shelton would have been painting around the Victorian era, because of the costume of the three charactures in the picture. I would also think that the medium used was water colour. Could anyone please shed more light. I would be very gratefull.

Has anyone heard of the painter "Sidney Shelton"?
I know of an author named Sidney Sheldon who you'll find listed on Wikipedia (Names are very similar)

You could try contacting the National Gallery in London about this particular artist as I have been looking on the net for some time now and only located the Cottage painting.

Contact them on information@ng-london.org.uk and explain that you have a painting you which to know more about, who knows because it's not listed any where, you could have a rare painting in your hands. How coll would that be. I know my parents have a painting by a famous artist and can not locate a similar picture. They tried contacting people, who had never heard of it before. Good Luck !
