Im into my 36th week of being pregnant , is there anything that I can be doing to speed things up???

No like I want to go into labor today but isn't there some things I can be doing to soften my cervix and prepare my body for labor...Any stories on anything any of you women did to help you in your late pregnancy??? I did Evening Primrose oil with my 2nd child and she came 9 days early as healthy as they come.

honstly a natural way is to have sex the chemical the man releases softens the cervix and can cause contractions my 2nd daughter was 9 days passed due and my doctor told me to have sex. worst possible situation: you start contractions during like a friend told me but the baby will come when ready just think a beautiful baby that you couldnt wait to hold keeping you up during the night enjoy while you can but sex and lots of it as long as your comfortable. can help
Reply:The Evening Primrose oil probably had little effect on when your baby came. Your body will go into labor when it is ready. Many people will tell you to try a hundred different things - but they are not going to work unless your body was already ready in the first place. Your baby still has 4 weeks of growth and development to go - don't be in such a hurry.
Reply:There may be, but let your body and the baby decide when it is time. Your first pregnancy probably was 9 days "early" despite the evening primrose oil, not because of it.

Be careful with herbs before your due date. Babies born only a few weeks before they are ready can have trouble with lungs and feeding. This would be very difficult for your family with you as a new mother again.
Reply:You still have a month to go mate, I know it get's uncomfortable, but you need to see it through.

If you must hurry things along, I heard sex can help, because of the prostaglandin in the sperm. It stimulates the cervix. I also read that nipple stimulation can help bring on contractions.

Don't do anything unnatural though. Evening primrose oil can't be good. Why take a risk?
Reply:you still have 4 weeks left, why would you want to risk the chance of having him early? just give it a couple more weeks, at least at 38, he is full and ready to go, just let your body do what it's suppose to do.
Reply:u just need to walk a lot and dont use any oils. you want to let this happen as naturel as possible. just keep ur self hydrated and exercise lightly and you will be fine
Reply:my friend has just had her baby at 35 weeks and he was too small and they had to stay in hospital for a week and fed him through tubs, i would wait a while longer
