Anyone know dosage of fishoil & primrose oil for 9 year old ADHD child? Found research it works, but no dosage.

Go to a local healthfood store. They have a supplement for children (chewable) called Childrens DHA by Nordic Naturals. I think it was 2 a day but it has the dosage on the bottle.

Anyone know dosage of fishoil %26amp; primrose oil for 9 year old ADHD child? Found research it works, but no dosage.
I've only seen fish oil in one dosage. I give my daughter one pill every morning for ADHD and yes, i've seen the research on it and yes, it helps a little. The problem is that fish oil stinks and the pills are HUGE, so she doesn't like them.

There is another supplement on the market that has fish oil in it, it's the same size, but has slightly different ingredients - i'm going to check into what's exactly in it and see if it's a viable alternative for my child (i take it for my heart, but don't give it to her yet).
Reply:you might not want to use these ingredients unless your child is a girl going through PMS. Trust me on this one!!!
Reply:Careful with the research you're finding. Problem with vitamins and herbal supplements is that they're not regulated in any manner and the dosage may not be exactly that which is advertised.

Also, being from the medical field, many research papers are slanted to how the researcher wants the product to appear. For every one paper you find that says it's great, you'll find 10 that says it's bs if you take time to research it more.

Not trying to discourage you but do discuss this with your child's pediatrician first.
Reply:but the fish oil pills and give them one in the morning and one at night. I am not sure about the other.
Reply:All organic oils:cost is £35 pounds every 180 days per person
