Hey! I get break outs on my chin every month around my period, any advice?

I have been told by a facial beautician that the side of the chin the pimples are on indicates the ovary which is ovulating, Hmm? Anybody know if that's true? Also wondering what I can do to try and sort it out? Anybody try Evening Primrose or Agnus Castus? Any recommendations are welcome :)

You are getting little bursts of hormone induced acne. The nonsense about ovulation side affecting where your spots are is just poppycock! The effects are systemic. Neither evening primrose, which is not discredited with regards to positive effects on skin, and agnus castus, are going to be worthless.

If by chance you are also looking for contraception, then pills like Yasmin may help your acne, otherwise acne degreasers, like panoxyl, may help or topical antibiotic roll-ons from your GP, which could be used as soon as you flare up.
Reply:I use Evening Primrose it seems to work for me. About the side question I have no idea nothing I learned in Bio seems to confirm it at least.
Reply:I don't know if that's true, but the best advice I can give for breakouts is mix some antiseptic cream and a little foundation into your moisturiser. The antiseptic will help get rid of the spots and the foundation will help to perk your skin up, as wearing full make up will only make the breakout worse.
Reply:I don't know about the ovary thing, but I have the same problem. I only get breakouts right before my period and I only ever have pimples on my chin - I use neutrogena spot treatment. I just get a pea size amount and rub it all over my chin in the morning and at night the week before my period and my period week.
Reply:its hormonal!..let nature take its course..it'l stop as ur body slowly stabalises..
