I am currently 41 weeks pregnant and looking for the best ways to induce my labor from home.
I have heard of the primrose pills how safe are they and how would you actually use them?
Sex is kind of out of the question because my husband is not very comfortable having sex right now.
What is the best things to do?
Best ways to induce labor at home?
i tried the evening primrose oil and took 6 pills a day and nothing and i did a lot of walking and had sex and ate spicey food and nadda, i ended up with a c-section anyway(had previous sections) if a baby doesn't wanna come out he/she won't until they are ready,,,,,,sorry
Reply:To induce my first labor I got in my husband truck and we went driving down the roughest roads that we could find and drove as fast as we could without putting ourselfs (including the baby) or our vehicle in danger. Then of course I also had sex that night, woke up the next morning at 5:30 AM with contractions 5 minutes apart, so one or both did the trick.
Best of luck to you!
Reply:hey there. nothing works until that baby is ready, ask your midwife or doctor to strip your membranes. my midwife did that when i was 3-4 cm dilated and 60-70% effaced at 40wks+5 days and i had horrible cramps all weekend long and sunday night i started having regular contractions and at 5AM we went to the hospital and had our little boy on march 17th at 12:31PM. believe me they wont come unless they are ready!!! good luck and ENJOY your pregnancy and baby- youll miss the pregnancy part lol
Reply:The morning before I went into labor, I experienced false labor and no progress in dilation..When I went home (was living with in-laws at the time), she recommended house work..it gets you moving around and bending. It must've worked cause I went into labor at 11:30 that night.
Reply:Do some light exercises. Walking has been proven to help induce the process of labor. The only thing I can really suggest is to just do some walking and relax. It will come sooner than you might think. =]
Reply:Today my midwife told me nipple stimulation, raspberry leaf tea, chamomile, and motherwort. Mix it all up with lots of walking!
Reply:Lots of walking and squatting (that helps open your pelvis more to get baby's head down further)...good luck!
Reply:Patience ALWAYS works!! :) Good Luck!
