My daughter has been complaing lately and I need to know which roots and herbs I should prescribe her. Here are her symptoms: fever in the afternoons, weight loss, insomnia, leg pains and fatigue.
The guy at the health food store says hemp oil, evening primrose and maka root. But he's been wrong a lot lately (my skin is still all chapped and I've been using what he said for a bout a year and no results). What do y'all think?
Which of Mother Natures herbs should I rub on my daughter?
Your daughter could be quite sick -- weight loss in children is not a good sign (unless they are seriously overweight and trying to lose it). The "guy at the health food store who has been wrong a lot lately" is definitely not a good source of advice. Trying to cure her by rubbing on herbs could delay doing something effective. Take her to a real doctor.
Reply:I don't think you have provided enough information. Like, does she eat or drink anything with caffeine? How old is she? I would say she has something that a good chiropractor or an alternative doctor could be better at than untrained people who spend all day guessing remedies on a message board. (Myself included). For the time being, I would recommend you don't let her drink anything but cold water for three days, while eating as normal. If she has a lot of junk food, quit that too. If she is over 12, start her on 600mg of calcium with citric acid and vitamin D. (Citric acid is essential for the body to absorb calcium, and vitamin D helps absorption). This is available at any place that sells vitamins and comes complete in one tablet per day. If you provide more info, perhaps we could narrow down a better remedy.
