Am i taking too much?? I'm a 29 yrs old female at my best condition, up and running no major health concerns yet but i'm a total supplement freak. i want to buy all the supplement they can offer but don't know which is best for me. Now, i'm planning to take selenium too.
Kindly advice a good set of supplement thats sufficient for me.
My dietary supplement. Are they necessary?
There is such a thing as too much but too much of the improper supplements. By that I don't mean bad ones, but low quality ones. If you want to supplement you must do it with liquid vitamins (You don't want to take 'one-a-day which is only 50% absorbable and then only half of that usable because it's all metallic minerals). Buy one that has more than 90 nutrients including all 16 vitamins, 60 minerals, 3 essential fatty acids, and many sea plants to maintain health. On minerals, you must take 'colloidal minerals' and listen to the tape "Dead Doctors don't lie". It will open your eyes on supplements and you will do the right thing for you body on a daily basis. That tape will open your eyes and you will thank me later. If you want a transcript of the tape, I have it, you can email me and I'll send it to you....
Reply:I take women's one-a-day. It has ALL the vitamins a woman needs daily.
Taking too many supplements, such as too much iron, can effect your health in a negative way. Too much iron has been scientifically proven to cause cancer in women. My suggestion would be too chill out on all the supplements-- you could be causing yourself more problems than you're trying to correct.
Daily supplements, if taken correctly and proportioned are a great help. These supplements you've listed are very costly, and more of a business snag for paranoid people.
My suggestion would be to stick with ONE daily supplement. A mixed vitamin you can find at Walmart, Meijer, or a general store are your best bet for a healthy diet.
