I see a lot of people say it works wonders for PMS - but no one so far has said "how much" they take....or for how long they took it before they noticed the benefit.....
Help!
Thanks a bunch
B complex and Evening Primrose Oil for PMS?
Evening primrose is actually not proven to help with pms or any female related problem, sorry to say. I have researched this one over and over and it basically amounts to a placebo, so I encourage you to avoid it.
B complex, however helps like no one's business. I take half a b-50 (all of your b vitamins in 50mg doses) everyday and during my period I take the full pills.
B vitamins:
Support and increase the rate of metabolism
Maintain healthy skin and muscle tone
Enhance immune and nervous system function
Promote cell growth and division — including that of the red blood cells that help prevent anemia.
Together, they also help combat the symptoms and causes of stress, depression, and cardiovascular disease.
All B vitamins are water soluble, and are dispersed throughout the body. Most of the B vitamins must be replenished daily, since any excess is excreted in the urine.
Seriously, the best things for PMS are the obvious ones though - fruits, veggies, water and light exercise. When I'm trapped in pms land, yoga and long walks are my saviors...and adversely, my hubby's.
